This is one of the Christmas arrangements I made today.
Amaryllis 'aphrodite' looks like the star of Bethlehem, I used aspidistra leaves to make angel's wings that take off.
Merry Christmas to the world!

A casket spray for a keen gardener.
I imagined a blanket of spring flowers, and really hope that he liked his fragrant blanket.

Phalaenopsis (moth orchid) wedding bouquet from this Sunday.
Phalaenopsises are fine without water for a prolonged period of time, making them a good choice for wedding bouquets; however, they are prone to windy conditions.
Ordinary greenery seemed too dark for one of the first brides of Spring, so I used some lime green symbidium orchids to support the phalaenopsis.
Some berzelia were added to help softly frame the tear drop bouquet.
Last season when we had two weddings on the same day, I renewed my recored of staying awake to 31hours then had to take a nap before doing the rest of the orders.
So here's the
***EARLY BIRD SPECIAL***
FREE hair parts or ring pillow made to match your bouquet if you place your order and confirm details 1 month before the wedding day.
Please, please plan early :)

This is an arrangement made to be seen mostly from the front, but from the sides and the back as well.
I'm not so keen on yellow most of the time but in spring every year, I suddenly become a yellow admirer!

I was by the window taking photos of some flowers when I saw this little girl who lives near, walking up.
...Snap!...
She ran away with most of the not-so-big clump of our garden daffodils!
Maybe she wanted to give them to her mum?
It made me smile knowing such a young girl caring for flowers.
Children being shorter have eyes much closer to the ground level than us, don't they?

Spring is here in Auckland unquestionably!
I was still doubting it when the weather reporter officially announced that we were an in mild, early spring state.
Still doubting when I heard the news of lambs being born.
Still doubting even seeing our garden daffodils and hyacinthes flowering. (Perhaps because I got used to commercially grown flowers too much. These have been around for months)
But a single mimosa tree in full bloom which I found yesterday during a delivery has convinced me in a fraction of a second.

I like to send tulips out in buds with minimum colours showing for the interest of when they are received.
Enjoy how they develope colours in front of your eyes!
